i was first introduced to bon iver a few years ago when my boyfriend showed me this youtube video.
i immediately fell in love with justin vernon's heartbreakingly beautiful songs. a few nights ago we went to them at prospect park under the stars and it was as magical as i could have imagined.

for being a terrible blogger the past few weeks! in between being selected for jury duty and work sucking me into several never-ending late nights and early mornings, i have neglected blogging. we're working on a major project and i imagine regular posting will be difficult at least for the next month once the event is over.

lost things

hi all! hope you had a great weekend! i was catching up on my blogroll and found this video "lost things" by ithyle photography & a fine frenzy on oh joy!

i have a really bad habit of losing things. in the past two weeks i've lost earmuffs (who knows where?!) and a pair of gloves (left on the bus). i've lost my wallet a few times and cell phone once. it's not something i'm particularly proud of. i mean what on earth does this say about me?! :/ *sigh* i guess we all have our faults.

excuse my ramblings and debbie-downerness. the video really is enchanting and i hope you enjoy it as much as i did!

pete yorn and scarlett joansson have teamed up on yorn's latest album entitled, break up. the record is a collection of duets inspired by Serge Gainsbourg's duets with Brigitte Bardot. the first single, "relator" is quite catchy and i especially love the video! to quote julia, sj is "kind of a major fox." true, true.

the album hits shelves september 15th, but you can listen to the full cd here.
