hendrix

last week was a major buzzkill. what i thought would be a quiet week at work, turned out to be crazy busy and in combination with several school projects, i nearly pulled my hair out. fortunately, i had a fun night out with girlfriends on friday, and taking time to relax over the weekend was just what i needed.

on another note, how adorable is this little guy? his name is hendrix. my friend manon just adopted him and i got the chance to meet him a few weekends ago. i would love to have a little guy like this someday...

fallen snow

it was particularly difficult for me to get out bed this morning... the weather is dreary and i just really wanted to snooze forever.

here are some pics during nemo... compared to other cities in the northeast, we were really didn't get too many inches but brooklyn still felt so magical under a blanket of white.

snowflakes

winter storm nemo (how hilarious is that name btw?) is approaching and a strange snow/rain mixture is starting to come down here in nyc. last winter we had only one freak snowstorm in october so i'm actually kind of excited for this blizzard. staying cozy under the covers in something like this all weekend sounds pretty perfect to me. what are you up to?

runner & stone

this weekend while jill was in town visiting, we met up with some friends for brunch in gowanus at runner & stone. upon entering the restaurant, we were immediately intoxicated by the delicious smells of freshly baked bread and pastries. the head baker, Peter Endriss, used to work at per se and bouchon so he really knows his bread! we all loved our dishes and at the end of our meal, our waiter dubbed us members of the "clean plate club." hehe.

not only was the food delicious, but i really loved the design of the restaurant itself as well. each month, they showcase a different artist's work which is available for purchase. you can see more pics of the interior here. it makes me so happy to see the gowanus area growing with yummy restaurants along third avenue.

apologies for the delay in posting this week. it's been quite busy this week at work since my supervisor is out on vacay. how were your weekends?

saturday i had brunch at cafe cluny with friends and and then we headed over to joanna's stoop sale! sunday we went to the whitney, had a late lunch and then watched i the oscars at home with matt. my favorite dress of the night? definitely elie saab's dress on rachel mcadams. i love the watercolor print and the flowiness of it...

which one was your favorite?
